LEO Round Table is an internet based law enforcement talk show. This is episode 26, recorded on 03/14/2016, with the following on-air personalities: Chip DeBlock (Host), Luke Lirot (Attorney), Bret Bartlett, Mark Hopper, Dan O’Kelly, Bobby Alsip and Charles Humphrey. We produce two 30 minute shows each week that are normally released on our YouTube channel Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition to your host, the other panelists (with the exception of Attorney Luke Lirot) are active or retired law enforcement officers as well.

Topic 1 concerns the sudden and controversial resignation of St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office (Louisiana) Captain Clay Higgins. Captain Higgins resignation comes after a highly publicized video he produced (with other law enforcement officers and community leaders) addressing a violent street gang known as the Gremlins. The video produced backlash from the ACLU and other organizations. Captain Higgins was respectful of Sheriff Bobby Guidroz in subsequent interviews but maintained that he resigned on behalf of his principles. Sheriff Guidroz painted a different picture and has been critical of Captain Higgins.

Topic 2 concerns some Orange County (California) agencies that are being accused of not adhering to the law when using “stingray” type technology in grabbing cellphone data.
