LEO Round Table is an internet based law enforcement talk show. This is episode 31, recorded on 03/28/2016, with the following on-air personalities: Chip DeBlock (Host), Luke Lirot (Attorney), Bret Bartlett, Mark Hopper, Bobby Alsip and Charles Humphrey. We produce two 30 minute shows each week that are normally released on our YouTube channel Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition to your host, the other panelists (with the exception of Attorney Luke Lirot) are active or retired law enforcement officers as well.
Topic 1 concerns Wyckoff Police Department (New Jersey) Police Chief Benjamin Fox being investigated for endorsing racial profiling. Quoted in the story is Acting Attorney General Robert Lougy, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir Grewal and American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) New Jersey Senior Staff Attorney Alexander Shalom.
Topic 2 concerns Barry Brown who filed a federal lawsuit in Brooklyn against the city for firing him from the sheriff’s academy due to racial bias.
Topic 3 concerns Mesa Police Department (Arizona) Officer Philip Brailsford who might be facing a second degree murder charge for the shooting death of Daniel Shaver. At issue is a custom engraving on the inside of Officer Brailsford’s AR-15 dust cover which reads “You’re Fucked”. Quoted in the story is Laney Sweet (Daniel Shaver’s wife) and Attorney Marc Victor.
Topic 4 concerns Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Donna “Jane” Watts who pulled off-duty Miami Police Department Office Fausto Lopez over at gunpoint and arrested him for speeding in his marked police car. Trooper Watts alleges that 88 law enforcement officers from 25 jurisdictions illegally accessed her personal information more than 200 times and is seeking more than $1 million in damages via a lawsuit. She just settled her lawsuit with the city of Hollywood for $5,000.
Topic 5 concerns New York City Mayor De Blasio and Police Commissioner Bill Bratton being critical of Senator and Presidential Candidate Ted Cruz for his remarks regarding Muslims.
