LEO Round Table is an internet based law enforcement talk show. This is episode 35, recorded on 04/11/2016, with the following on-air personalities: Chip DeBlock (Host), Luke Lirot (Attorney), Mark Hopper, Bobby Alsip and Dan O’Kelly. We produce two 30 minute shows each week that are normally released on our YouTube channel Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition to your host, the other panelists are active or retired law enforcement officers as well (except for Attorney Luke Lirot).
Topic 1 concerns female police officers in the city of Querétaro (Mexico) who have filed complaints to the state’s Human Rights Commission that male commanders are subjecting them to “attractiveness” inspections. Two complainants named in the story are Officer Maricruz Ocampo and Officer Coincidir Mujeres. Also mentioned is Querétaro Police Chief Rolando Eugenio Hidalgo Eddy and a strike by other officers demanding his resignation. Quoted in the article is security analyst Alejandro Hope.
Topic 2 concerns a new state-of-the-art StarChase GPS launcher. The device is designed to be launched as a dart from the front grill of a police vehicle instead of having to engage in a high-speed pursuit. The GPS tracker allows police from multiple agencies to remotely track the suspect vehicle and to take police action without the danger of engaging in a chase.
Topic 3 concerns a new state-of-the-art law enforcement driving simulator (the 550LEplusTM) produced by Doron Precision Systems, Inc. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office is mention in the story and Sheriff Jim Voutour is quoted. Also referenced is Starpoint Principal Gil Licata who invented the system.
Topic 4 concerns Fort Worth (Texas) Police Officer W. Figueroa who was caught on video spraying pepper spray at passing motorcyclists who did not move out of an adjoining lane during his traffic stop. Quoted in the story is East Texas Heat (motorcycle team) President Chase Stone who also recorded the video.
