Topic 1 concerns Portsmouth Police Officer Jeremy Durocher who was honored by his department after shooting armed fleeing burglar Deontrace Ward on 10/29/2017 who is alleged to have waved his gun at Off. Durocher. The burglar (Ward) was also running towards other officers at the time. Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Morales has now had Off. Durocher indicted by a grand jury of two felony counts (aggravated malicious wounding and a firearms charge) a year after the shooting.
