Topic 1 concerns unprecedented violence and rioting in Paris (France) that police are having to deal with. Reference is made to President Emmanuel Macron and the Yellow Vest movement where 3 have been killed and hundreds injured.
Topic 2 concerns the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission’s report and the aftermath. Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy Edward Eason has been placed on restrictive duty while being investigated for unnamed reasons. He also failed to originate an official report on a tip and threat shooter Nikolas Cruz made prior to the mass killing. Sergeant Brian Miller is also on restrictive duty for failure to take action during the shooting and former Captain Jane Jordan was heavily criticized.
Topic 3 concerns accusations that the Broward County School District delayed and/or withheld records, refused to publicly assess the role of employees, spread misinformation and tried to get reporters placed in jail. Reference is made to the South Florida Sun Sentinel in the story.
