Topic 1 concerns a controversial video of Tempe (Arizona) Police officers responding to a domestic violence call where they enter the apartment of Ivaughn Oakry. The complainant, MeKayla Brand, was also in the apartment along with children including her 1-year-old baby. During interaction with police, Oakry was uncooperative and wanted police to leave his apartment. Eventually Oakry picks up the 1-year-old baby and uses it as a shield to keep officers from Tasering him. Officers Tasered him anyway, the baby was unharmed and Oakry was arrested. Officer Ronald Kerzaya is referenced in the story.
