Topic 2 concerns a video of Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders telling a black student at South Carolina’s Benedict College to respect police so that you don’t get shot in the back of the head. This statement was made during the Second Step Presidential Justice Forum at the college. During the same forum former Vice President and current Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden told a black female student that institutional racism still exists and that he’ll fut forward change to help put an end to it.
