Topic 1 concerns approved Proposition 47 in California which reduced penalties for drug and property crimes in 2014 but as a result increased car burglaries, shoplifting and other theft crimes. Reference was made to a study by the nonpartisan Public Policy Institute of California. The FBI and Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) were also referenced in the story.
Topic 2 concerns an update on the surviving family of deceased Prince George’s County Police Detective Jacai Colson filing a wrongful death lawsuit due to him being killed by friendly fire from Officer Taylor Krauss. Both officers were responding to a ambush attack by gunman Michael DeAndre Ford.
Topic 3 concerns an update on FBI Agent Chase Bishop being charged with second-degree assault. Agent Bishop was off-duty when he did a back-flip at a club, dropped his firearm and negligently discharged it when picking it up. The bullet struck a patron with non-life threatening injuries.
Topic 4 concerns a video of a San Francisco Police officer chasing and shooting gunman Oliver Barcenas who was armed with a .45 caliber Glock pistol with a laser sight and an extended magazine. Immediately afterward police were surrounded by a hostile crowd.
