Topic 1 concerns the FBI “Operation Rockfish” sting that netted a 54-count federal indictment against 13 current and former North Carolina law enforcement officers (plus two others). The defendants are accused of protecting narcotics shipments and cash proceeds in transit along the East coast for drug traffickers that were really FBI agents. U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District Thomas Walker is mentioned in the story.
