Topic 1 concerns U.S. District Judge Marvin J. Garbis allowing five of the Baltimore Six officers to sue Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby and Assistant Sheriff Samuel Cogen. The federal lawsuit is for malicious prosecution, defamation and invasion of privacy related to the officers being charged in the death of Freddie Gray. The five officers involved in the lawsuit are Garrett Miller, Edward Nero, William Porter, Sgt. Alicia White and Lt. Brian Rice. Officer Caesar Goodson did not join the lawsuit.
