Topic 1 concerns a video of gunman Austin Bentel in the French Quarter (New Orleans, Louisiana) raising his pistol, pulling back the slide and pointing it at New Orleans Police Off. Ryeisha Warren as he approached her marked SUV and aimed his firearm at her via her open driver’s window. Officer Ryeisha along with officers Steve Nolan, Matthew Tippett and Sierra Cochran fired a total of 15 shots at Bentel and, after being shot, he survived.
Topic 2 concerns a video of San Jose (California) Police officers Isaac Cazarez and Michael Santana confronting Jose Antonio Delossantos at a gas station while he held a gas pump nozzle with paper stuffed into the end in one and and a lit lighter in the other. Delossantos also had a metal rod in his possession which he swung at police while charging at them. Officers deployed bean bag rounds and a Taser unsuccessfully to stop him, so they shot Delossantos multiple times and he survived.
