Topic 1 concerns a video of what Canadian officials are calling a “lone wolf” terror attack against a Canadian police officer. After crashing his vehicle into the officer who was on foot, the terrorist attacked the officer with a knife and fled after stabbing him. The incident took place at Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium and both Edmonton Police Chief Rod Knecht and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were quoted in the story.
Topic 2 concerns Columbus (Ohio) Police Lt. Karl Barth retiring at 77-years-of-age. This topic is really about the age officers should be when they retire.
Topic 3 concerns a video of Bend (Oregon) Police officers stopping driver Michael Tyler Jacques on suspicion of intoxication. A struggle ensued and Tasers and pepper spray were used before officers open fire on him.
