LEO Round Table is an internet based law enforcement talk show. This is episode 38, recorded on 04/25/2016, with the following on-air personalities: Chip DeBlock (Host), Luke Lirot (Attorney), Bret Bartlett, Mark Hopper, Dan O’Kelly, Bobby Alsip and Charles Humphrey. We produce two 30 minute shows each week that are normally released on our YouTube channel Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition to your host, the other panelists (except for attorney Luke Lirot) are active or retired law enforcement officers as well.
Topic 1 concerns a shout-out to Burlington County, New Jersey Officer Brian Strockbine who saved three individual’s lives within 10 days in separate incidents.
Topic 2 concerns the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division enforcing 19 agreements with law enforcement agencies including 14 court ordered consent decrees and 1 post judgement order.
Topic 3 concerns a bill being introduced in Sacramento, California by Senator Mark Leno. The bill seeks to grant public access to police oversight panels by reversing the Copley Press v. Superior Court decision in 2006. In contrast, the Copley Press decision made the Commission’s proceedings secret and closed off access to similar bodies across the state.
Topic 4 concerns armed responses for plainclothes LEOs (active, retired and reserve). Three safety tips are supplied.
Topic 5 concerns what competitive shooting will teach you about being in a gunfight. Five benefits are listed.
Topic 6 concerns a Clearwater, Florida man who told deputies that he vandalized property because he listened to too much music and masturbated too much.
Topic 7 concerns a Bronx, New York officer who was recorded on video blaming Mayor Bill de Blasio for forcing him to write summonses. The officer allegedly made these comments to a motorist he was citing.
Topic 8 concerns the FBI’s involvement in reviewing a complaint in Columbia, South Carolina for an alleged illegal cavity search. Lakeya Hicks and Elijah Pontoon are a black couple who allege that after police pulled Lakeya Hicks over in her car, they did an anal cavity search of Elijah Pontoon on the side of the road.
