LEO Round Table is an internet based law enforcement talk show. This is episode 5, recorded on 12/28/2015, with the following on-air personalities: Chip DeBlock (Host), Luke Lirot (Attorney), Mark Hopper, Bret Bartlett, Dan O’Kelly and Bob Alsip. We produce two 30 minute shows each week that are normally released on our YouTube channel Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition to your host, the other panelists (except for attorney Luke Lirot) are retired law enforcement officers as well.
Topic 1 concerns an article written by Matthew Harwood Twitter published on THENATION.COM titled “The Biggest Threat to American Public Safety Is the American Police State – Welcome to Cop Land, where the police make all the rules”. The bottom line of this sarcastically written article towards law enforcement is that “there is no war on the police”.
Topic 2 concerns an article written by Daniel Greenfield and published on FRONTPAGEMAG.COM titled “FrontPage Magazine’s Man of the Year: America’s Sheriff – One man stands tall against Obama and the Left”. This article centers around Milwaukee County (Wisconsin) Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. and counters the points made by another author covered under Topic 1. It also addresses anti-police actions by President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder.
Topic 3 concerns German police officer and author Tania Kambouri who is vocal in her criticism of Muslim men in Germany. She discusses problems with both Muslim immigrants from Muslim countries and German born Muslims. In short, police officers are under threat and Kambouri is unhappy with how her country has chosen to handle the immigration problem.
Topic 4 concerns the U.S. Justice Department suspending the $1.2 Billion Asset Forfeiture Program that benefits law enforcement agencies across the country.
Topic 5 concerns the breaking news that no charges will be filed against the Cleveland police officers who shot and killed 12 year old Tamir Rice. Tamir Rice was carrying an airsoft gun (that looked like a real gun) at the time.
Topic 6 concerns the Minnesota Supreme Court deciding whether or not a BB gun is a firearm. In 2013 David Lee Haywood was charged with Possession of a Firearm and convicted by a jury. The Court of Appeals upheld his conviction.
