The first officer fired over the incident was former Off. Gary Steele. Reference was made to “what black girl magic looks like” and “celebrating Black History Month” in the story.
Topic 2 concerns former Bradenton (Florida) Police Sgt. Leonel Marines who resigned from the agency during an internal affairs investigation that sustained allegations involving gross misconduct, misuse of criminal justice information, violations of record security and sex on duty. He was allegedly using agency resources to pursue women for dates and sex. Chief Melanie Bevan is quoted in the story.
Topic 3 concerns Las Vegas (Nevada) Police Off. Rachel Sorkow being arrested and charged with misconduct by a public officer, capturing the image of the private area of another person and indecent exposure. She is accused of illegally recording interactions with citizens on her cell phone, providing confidential data from criminal justice information systems to non-authorized persons and recording a man’s genitals.
