Topic 1 concerns a video of New York Police (NYPD) Officer Syed Ali being attacked at the East Broadway subway station in Manhattan by five (5) homeless men. Juan Nunez, Eliseo Alvarez and Leobardo Alvarado were finally arrested for the crime. Mayor Bill de Blasio and Assistant Chief Executive Officer of NYPD’s Transit Bureau Vincent Coogan were quoted in the story.
