Topic 1 concerns Arizona Senate Bill 1366 (proposed by Senator Steve Smith) that would make Aggravated Assault against off-duty police officers a crime equal to assaulting on-duty police officers, even if the off-duty officers are not engaged in the execution of any official duties. Representative Reginald Bolding is quoted and Governor Doug Ducey is referenced in the story.
Topic 2 concerns Oklahoma City (Oklahoma) Police Officer Shawn Byrne who reportedly suffered severe burns in his throat after convicted felon employees at Taco Bell put extremely hot pepper sauce and cologne in his quesadilla.
Topic 3 concerns a video of Bradenton (Florida) Police Lieutenant William Weldon fighting with burglary-in-progress suspect Isaac Hernandez Dubon. Instead of shooting the burglar who was violently attempting to gouge out his eyes and grab his gun, the lieutenant struck him in the head with his pistol.
