LEO Round Table is an internet based law enforcement talk show. This is episode 64, recorded on 08/01/2016, with the following on-air personalities: Chip DeBlock (Host), Bret Bartlett, Mark Hopper and Charles Humphrey. We produce two 30 minute shows each week that are released on our YouTube channel Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition to your host, the other panelists are retired or active law enforcement officers.

Topic 1 concerns LEO Round Table’s production of a video series titled Deadly Force Scenario Training for Civilians. The first video in this series, containing scenario #1, was released on Saturday (07/30/16).

Topic 2 concerns an article questioning how justice can survive if facts don’t matter. Mentioned in the piece is how emotions are not supposed to matter in investigations but that facts do. Also discussed is how media sources are not in the business of selling facts, but that using emotions to drive traffic helps to sell advertising.

Topic 3 concerns statistics from MAPPINGPOLICEVIOLENCE.ORG on police and black subjects. These stats were reportedly researched from crowdsourced databases on FatalEncounters.org, U.S. Police Shootings Database and KilledbyPolice.net.

Topic 4 concerns statistics from DAILYWIRE.COM on police and black subjects. These statistics were compiled by The Washington Post and reference data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Heather Mac Donald is referenced in the story.

Topic 5 concerns a new Washington State University study on tired law enforcement officers dealing with black subjects as well as other races. Dr. Lois James is referenced in the story as well as FORCESCIENCE.ORG.

Topic 6 concerns statistics from the New York Times on police and black subjects. Quoted in the story is Harvard Professor Roland G. Fryer Jr. who authored the study.
